Hello. Welcome to Padfoot's Army, the Alternative Sirius Black Fan Club. Come in, have a look around, and make yourselves at home.
We're still a fairly new club, so we can't yet offer you the glitz and glamor you may have seen on other sites. What we do offer is a fun, fair site for Sirius Black fans to gather, chat, make friends, and post their work--without all the nasty politics certain other groups are known for. We plan to go places, and we'd love to have you along for the ride.
We do welcome other types of Harry Potter fans in our ranks as well. Currently, at least one Lupinite, one Snape lover, one Hagrid lover, and one Hermione and Umbridge fan reside here. So, while most of us here consider Sirius our favorite character, anyone is welcome to join as long as they at least like him.
As both founder and president of this club, I'd like to run things as democratically as possible. However, I do reserve the final say as to what goes around here and what doesn't. I encourage ideas and suggestions from everyone. But please understand that on some things I will have to say "no," for whatever reason.
I've tried to keep our rules and bi-laws fairly simple, but they are subject to change. Basically, they are just common sense, and most people shouldn't have any trouble following them. To view the full list, click here.
I've asked Madam Pudifoot to be the first moderator, not only because she has experience in this department, but because she is also the co-founder of this club. As our Army grows, I'm sure I will need more moderators, and will grant this status to those who want it based on senority, dedication, and the ability to do the job.
Unlike many clubs, I've already set up the forums here, based on popular topics from other clubs. Most of them are pretty empty right now, and I'm counting on you guys to help fill them up (please do, I don't want to look like Gilderoy Lockhart). But I decided it would easier to do it this way, adding and deleting forums as necessary, than to have to reorganize the threads and forums after people post them. So please don't feel shy about starting new threads here and posting in old ones.
We have a chatroom, and I invite everyone here to use it. As I've stated in the rules, I have the language filter turned off, at least for the time being. So if you feel the sudden urge to swear, go ahead. Just use common sense about it in the main chatroom. What you say in private chat, though, is between you and the other party, unless I have reason to believe that you are getting ready to blow up the planet or something.
