Do you think club members should be able to earn points for their houses by attending events such as Harry Potter conventions, concerts such as Wizard Rock, or
visiting any of the Harry Potter attractions in Europe?

Yes, I do think club members should be allowed to earn house points for attending these events. Not only does it show a tremendous amount of dedication, but
you can also do and learn things there that will help us as a club.

I would say yes, with one bif *if*:
... if they being back something back to the board with them. Than can be new, rumors, ideas, a summary of the event - anything. But just a "Hi, I was there." would not be enough for me. |

I say yes but not to the tune of anything more than 50 points. Being there is great but I agree with Andranneth, bringing something back to PA, whether it be
pictures, videos, new members, etc. is even better.

Er....some of these things are cost prohibitive. I'm not likely to be going anywhere if I can't ride my bike there. None of the other ways to earn
house points cost money or relies on being in the right place at the right time. Just pointing out the cons as Slytherin HoH

Hee hee, I knew I could count on you, Wingsy. Anyhow, I think I'll reopen the polls to give more people a chance to vote.

I voted Yes. Even though some people would be unable to go to them, the people that can and do should get points. It's like if someone was too short for a
rollercoaster it doesn't mean everyone should be banned from going on it, if you get my drift.

I also voted yes. If someone spent their money and time arranging it for the sake of HP then good luck to them!

Another Slytherin thought.....
So does this mean if I go see the next movie and write a review I get 50 points? Seems logical....

Of course. I thought that we agreed that movie reviews counted.

I voted yes.
I think people should get points... but only if they can prove that they were there. Like with photos with their HP costumes, or something that shows that they were there. |
