Okay, I'm awarding Ravenclaw 200 points because I attended Portus. I'll also award them additional points once I write and post an article about it.

Wait just a minute Kash. I don't remember anyone agreeing that that event would win House Points and then how would that be fair to anyone who doesn't
live in the DFW metroplex? Should we expect Bug, Andi, and Fairy to fly over from Europe to attend? I don't think its reasonable to receive points for
that. But then I'm not a HoH.

I believe this would fall under the "special" category:
http://padfootsarmy.yuku.com/topic/1134 (last paragraph). I do think its fair to award points to someone who attend HP conventions. This goes above and beyond the call of duty, and they can also do and learn things that will help us grow as a site. Not "every" convention is held in the DFW area, and I for one am willing to award house points to anyone who attends such an event, no matter how big or how small. I'm also willing to award points to anyone who attends and reviews concerts such as "House of Black," "Harry and the Potters," and "Wizard Rock." I award Gryffindor 5,000 points because we killed Voldemort...so thereSorry Cloney. Harry already beat you to it...in 1997  .
Also, since Rebecca, Ladybug, and Andranneth are in closer proximity to some of the European Harry Potter attractions that we in the states would give our eyeteeth to see, I would be willing to award house points for that also.
